Kanzy Lesson Guide Privacy Policy

Kanzy Lesson Guide is a private teaching tool for approved Kanzy teachers. It provides assigned-student information, lesson guidance, session recovery, and progress recording in a Chrome side panel.

Information we handle

• Google account identity information used for sign-in, including email address and profile name.
• Teacher and student names, parent email addresses, teacher-to-student assignments, and access status.
• Lesson progress, teaching sessions, checkpoint responses, feedback, energy responses, and private lesson notes.
• Temporary recovery and retry drafts stored locally by the extension so interrupted work can be recovered.

How information is used

Information is used only to authenticate approved teachers, show their assigned students and lesson materials, preserve interrupted sessions, save official teaching progress, and support Kanzy administration. The extension does not collect browsing history, page content from unrelated websites, or advertising identifiers.

Storage and sharing

Account and teaching records are transmitted over HTTPS to the Kanzy backend and Supabase. Recovery and retry drafts may also be stored locally in Chrome. Kanzy does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it except with service providers needed to operate and secure the service or when required by law.

Google user data

Teachers use Google only for identity verification. The extension does not request access to a teacher's Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, contacts, or calendar. Kanzy's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Kanzy retains account, assignment, progress, session, and audit records for as long as they are operationally required to provide and protect the teaching service. Teachers may clear extension-local data by signing out or uninstalling the extension. Requests to access, correct, or delete server-held personal information are handled manually and may be subject to legal or recordkeeping obligations.
